Michael Francis

Director

Michael Francis was admitted as an Attorney on the 22nd February 1979. In 1984 he was admitted as a Conveyancer and Notary Public. He has throughout his career focused on all aspects of Property Law and Commercial Law. He has been involved in the establishment of many property developments and sectional title schemes. He is an active Rotarian and past President of the Gately Rotary Club and he is a Paul Harris Fellow.

Steven Clarke was admitted as an Attorney in 1982 and shortly thereafter as a Notary Public. He specializes in Family Law, Litigation, Arbitration and Commercial Law. He is a past President of the East London Attorneys Association. He is also on the panel of the Cape Law Society.



Bridgette Magnus

Director

Bridgette Magnus graduated from Rhodes University in Grahamstown in 1999 (Cum Laude) and was admitted as an Attorney in 2002 and became a Director at Russell Incorporated in 2007. She specializes in all aspects of Labour Law with specific emphasis on Governmental and Municipal and Public Entity matters, specifically those relating to procurement as well as forensic investigations focusing on fraud. She is also involved in Civil Litigation and all aspects of Family Law.


Bradley Sparg

Bradley graduated at NMMU in 2006 with B.COM LLB. He commenced his Articles at Russell Incorporated in 2007 and was admitted as an Attorney in 2009. He became a Director at Russell Incorporated in 2012. He specializes in Commercial Litigation and the drafting of Commercial Contracts as well as aspects relating to Company Law inclusive of Business rescue, evictions and acquisitions. He is also a Conveyancer and deals in all aspects of Property Law.

Jacques graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1988 with a BA LLB and in 1999 obtained a Higher Diploma in Estate Planning from the University of Potchefstroom. He was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer in 1992. After practising as such in partnership in Cape Town for 22 years he opened a boutique law firm in Paarl in 2015 concentrating on Property related matters, Estate Planning and the Administration of Estates. He is also an examiner for the Cape Law Society and assist with the marking and orals of the Candidate Attorneys’ examinations as well as the Conveyancing examinations. He is also a member of the Cape Law Society’s Wills, Estates and Trust Committee. He is also on the pro bono panel of Action on Elder Abuse, a NGO that protects the rights of the elderly.
He is also a fabulous chef, appreciates a good whisky and smokes the occasional cigar.


Kingsley Kingon

Kingsley was admitted as an attorney in April 1957 and as a Notary and Conveyancer in April 1959. He retired as a partner on the 28 February 2001 and has since been employed by the firm as a Consultant. He specializes in conveyancing and all aspects of commercial work. He is a past President of the East London Attorneys Association. He is also an active Rotarian and a past President of the Rotary Club of East London. He is also a Paul Harris Fellow.


Jonathan Bax

Consultant

Jon Bax was admitted as an Attorney, Conveyancer and Notary Public in 1971. He practices mainly in the fields of Conveyancing, Local Authority and Notarial work. He is a past president of the Beacon Bay Rotary Club and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

 
In addition to the Directors and Consultants, the firm has two professional assistants. Liaan Murray handles Magistrates' Court litigation, matrimonial litigation, rental collections, evictions and Consumer Protection Act issues. Our curatorship and trusts division which administers estates, is headed up by Heather Dewing who is a Certified Financial Planner.

Additionally we have a number of experienced operational staff helping behind the scenes such as messengers, bookkeepers and paralegals.
